Ashton Design is looking for a highly creative and motivated Environmental Graphic Designer. The Senior Designer should have strong people skills and be able to produce results independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment. The right candidate will be proactive and dedicated with a great sense of humor. They should have comprehensive knowledge of design implementation issues and it is important to be well-versed at planning and executing full design programs.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Designing and managing wayfinding, signage, and display projects from concept to installation 
Developing strong relationships with clients, management and the client-facing teams 
Project managing clients independently 
Programming spaces for occupancy use 
Creating message schedules and sign location plans 
Traveling and visiting project sites for analysis and documentation 
Preparing production-ready art files for fabrication 
Writing punch lists of fabrication errors and inconsistencies after a project is installed 
Being a mentor to and leading other designers 

QUALIFICATIONS

7-10+ years industry experience as well as a degree in Graphic Design and/or Architecture 
Knowledge of signage fabrication, installation techniques, materials and construction specifications 
Capable of reading and understanding architectural drawings 
Strong sense of design for three-dimensional context 
Detail-oriented and self-motivated with a strong sense of typography and form 
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment 
Strong written and verbal communication skills 
Strong organizational and time management skills 
Strong presentation skills

SKILLS

Adobe Creative Suite: Acrobat, Bridge, Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, CadTools 
Google Suite: Drive, Sheets, Docs; Microsoft Office: Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word 
Sketch-up; AutoCAD/Revit, other 3D program experience a plus 
Hand sketching ability to communicate concepts a plus
