We teamed up with the Baltimore Museum of Art to create kid-friendly family guides for the newly renovated galleries in the African Wing and American Wing. The guides, targeted towards children ages 6-9, take a contemporary approach to introducing the works of art and objects in each gallery while creating a lasting and engaging experience with in-gallery and at-home activities.
American Wing
Custom-drawn typography and patterns throughout the book, based on historic wallpaper patterns found throughout the galleries, complement the artwork and emphasize that these items are not lifeless pieces of art.

Wanting to avoid overly themed clichés, we balanced bright colors and bold typography with a collage-style layout within each spread to create a playful and accessible aesthetic.
