Brewers Hill

Brewers Hill

Struever Bros. Eccles & Rouse, Obrecht Commercial Real Estate, 2008

Brewers Hill is the historic renovation and adaptive reuse of two landmark Baltimore breweries: the Gunther Brewery and the National Brewery—once home to Natty Boh. Building IDs in the shape of bottle caps, brewery themed building names and painted murals are all an ode to the whimsy seen in 1950s beer commercials and emulate the rich brewing heritage of the area. The feature element is the huge 27x30 foot Mr. Boh, outlined in red neon, which periodically winks at the city and is now an iconic part of the Baltimore skyline.
