Dodger Stadium

An L.A. monument to sports history

Opened in 1962, Dodger Stadium is the third oldest, continuously used park in the MLB. Working with famed urban planner Janet Marie Smith, we helped improve visitor circulation by designing everything from wayfinding signage, murals, and sponsorship ads to team history displays, family-friendly fan areas, and concessions.  Now the 2nd most Instagrammed location on Earth, Dodger Stadium boasts a fan experience that fits its dramatic location overlooking downtown L.A.

We revisited historic typefaces, the stadium’s original color palette, and revitalized and incorporated the classic hexagonal chevron shape so iconic to Dodger Stadium.

One of the major initiatives during the Dodger Stadium renovation was to make the stadium more family-friendly by including activities specifically targeted toward younger fans. Created in partnership with the Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, the Play Zone offers kids a place to play before and during games. Dotted around the stadium are life-size player bobbleheads, based on the original hand-painted papier-mâché collectibles from the early 1960s, that enhance the kid-friendly atmosphere.
