Foulger-Pratt, 2019
The relocation of Discovery Communications’ headquarters from Maryland to New York presented the opportunity to transform One Discovery Place into a multi-tenant property with a new identity. Built in 2003, the site was a force in downtown Silver Spring’s revitalization and has become an iconic fixture. Foulger-Pratt acquired the property with Cerberus Capital Management and began their $15-million renovations in late 2018.
In collaboration with Collins + Co., we undertook a renaming and extensive rebranding initiative. Part of the big changes involved repositioning the property from a single tenant to multiple tenants.

Inventa, a Latin word meaning discovery, pays a subtle but well-deserved homage to the previous occupant while looking forward to the future.

Marketing and Leasing collateral were produced to highlight the trophy office space features and highlights.

We designed the exterior, interior and garage signage to fit the new brand and developed a well-thoughtout way finding strategy to quickly and efficiently get tenants and visitors to their destination.
