JHU Babb Field

JHU Babb Field at
Stromberg Stadium

Johns Hopkins University, 2014

Named for longtime baseball head coach Bob Babb and university trustee Bill Stromberg, Babb Field at Stromberg Stadium reflect the successes achieved by the Blue Jays on a site where Hopkins baseball has been played since the 1930s. Bold dugout graphics, a Hopkins-blue press box ID and windscreen graphics displaying winning conference championships are all visible from the road, attracting fans and serving as an invaluable tool to recruit prospective students. A 30-foot donor wall, spanning the main grandstand wall, honours major contributors to the project with custom-fabricated prismatic panels.
