“40 Years / 40 Stories”

Celebrating it’s ruby anniversary, the Maryland Lottery commemorated this milestone with a featured exhibit “40 Years / 40 Stories” at the Baltimore Museum of Industry (BMI). The exhibit looks at the ways the Maryland Lottery has played an economic and social role in Maryland’s history, and features a large collection of historic newspaper articles, tickets and posters we discovered in a set of scrapbooks from their archives. Numbered red lottery balls, embedded in the text panels, became the primary design element and guide visitors throughout the exhibit and yellow balls bring a tactile element to the lottery’s logo on the main marquee wall.
