Notre Dame of Maryland University, a small, Catholic-affiliated, independent liberal arts college, is one of the oldest institutions for higher education for women in the US. The campus is set within the picturesque residential neighborhood of Roland Park, and the main entrance sign had to be appropriate for this setting. We worked with G. Krug & Son, the oldest continually operating blacksmith in the country, for the custom ornate ironwork and gold-leaf letters that sit atop the stone wall designed by Robert AM Stern Architects.
