Thompson Creek Window Company
Visualizing a continuing legacy
Founded in 1980, the Thompson Creek Window Company has grown into the Mid-Atlantic region’s premier replacement windows company. Ashton created a series of interpretive walls to celebrate Thompson Creek’s history, culture, and accomplishments spanning 40-plus years.
The wall-long, timeline feature is located in Thomson Creek’s headquarters in Lanham, MD. We leveraged the company’s bold color palette to create a series of dynamic displays that draw visitors toward the wall to learn more.
Chronological content is divided by decade as thematic milestones guide viewers down the wall. Sixty-seven unique acrylic panels highlight key moments in Thompson Creek’s history.
Custom aluminum shelves blend into the wall to allow the content to come forward. A mix of bold colors, overlapping panels, and printing on the first and second surfaces adds to this sense of depth.
Thompson Creek also wanted to share the same story in its factory office. We reinterpreted the original three-dimensional wall as a graphic wallpaper, which was better suited for the high-traffic location.
