Vida, a new residential community opening at the southernmost point of Silicon Valley, is built to be a pocket of Edenic calm for the tech-focused area. Nestled between the Santa Cruz and Diablo mountain ranges, Vida celebrates an indoor/outdoor lifestyle with sustainably designed recreational spaces and Spanish architectural influences.

Ashton created a brand identity to reflect this desert-meets-Mediterranean aesthetic. The modular logo was inspired by artisan tilework, while the iconography and color palette reference the surrounding geographic landscape. The resulting system feels warm and sophisticated and is a welcomed respite from the business of Big Tech.

Vida was built to feel “Moditerranean”—a modern take on Spanish architecture. The brand reinterprets the space’s warm hues, wood beams, and organic shapes to reflect the community’s rich charm. In particular, the modular logo is a minimalist take on Vida’s hand-painted tiles, which, like the logo, can be combined in various ways to create a dynamic, decorative environment.


The visual identity easily translates to leasing and residential materials. Earthy colors and geometric shapes catch the eye to communicate key features while keeping the brand grounded.


The resort-like splash page complements Vida’s ethos, “where home is the destination,” and entices visitors to become future residents.

Both promotional and monument signage embrace the brand, helping Vida craft its visitor experience from start to finish.
